Hanoverian Dressage Horse Breeding Program (PHD)

According to the star system of the Hanoverian Jumper Breeding Program, dressage mares with good own or offspring performance are awarded. For this purpose, the * system from show jumper breeding has been transferred to dressage mares.

The award is listed in the foal’s pedigree in the dam’s horse passport.

Selection criteria for mares in the Hanoverian Dressage Breeding Programm (PHD)

Mares are entered in one of the following categories. In order to receive a * / ** / *** classification, the mare must be actively registered as a broodmare with the Hanoverian Society. For the time being, there is no basic population of dressage horse breeding.

In the mare performance test, the average for basic gaits must be at least 7.67 and the average for rideability at least 7.75.
In the Hanoverian dressage sport test, an average of at least 7.67 for the basic gaits and at least 7.75 for the rideability.
Final participation in the Hanoverian Riding Horse Championships.

Three placings in medium* level dressage tests or higher.
Qualification for the Bundeschampionat/World Championships for Young Dressage Horses.
Final placing in the Hanoverian Dressage Horse Championships

One offspring with qualification for the Bundeschampionat/World Championships for Young Dressage Horses.
One offspring with a final placing in the Hanoverian Dressage Horse Championships.
One offspring with a placing in at least one advanced (S) level dressage test or higher.

Sticker for the horse passport of your PHD// mare

On request you will receive a sticker for the horse passport of your mare, you can apply for it here. The processing fee is 10,00 € plus VAT. If your mare reaches a higher level in the PHD system, you can apply for a new sticker. For future offspring, the highest level achieved by the mare will appear in the pedigree.
