In 2007, the privately owned stallion Benetton Dream FRH and Anna-Sophie Fiebelkorn confidently won the Bundeschampion for three-year-old stallions. Six years later, he qualified with Juliane Brunkhorst for the final of the Louisdor Prize for young Grand Prix horses in Frankfurt.
The stallion now has Swedish ownership and was ridden by Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfven. His career ended early due to injury. Nevertheless, he enjoys great popularity as a private stud, especially among Swedish breeders. In 2024, he received a special honor when Benetton Dream FRH was named Hanoverian Stallion of the Year
Born in 2007, bred by Franz Johann Reinartz, Eupen/BEL
Carlos is one of the most successful German dressage horses in the junior category. With Hannah Erbe, the dark bay has won eight gold medals at European Championships for juniors and young riders to date. In 2022, Helen Erbe took over the reins, became European team champion in the U25 category in Budapest/HUN, and won the final of the Piaff Promotion Prize in Stuttgart.
The Carabas/Weltmeyer son, registered in the Rhineland, was born in 2007 at Franz Johann Reinartz’s stud in Eupen, Belgium. When Carlos was seven years old, Hannah Erbe discovered him at her trainer Heiner Schiergen’s stable. Just one year later, the pair won their first titles at the Junior European Championships in Vidauban, France. More gold medals followed for the talented young dressage rider. Carlos FRH also placed highly in the final competitions of the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal and the Louisdor Prize.
Their track record is impressive: in 2016, Carlos FRH and Hannah Erbe became European Junior Team Champions in Oliva, Spain, and won gold in the individual and freestyle competitions. A year later, they became double European champions in Rosendaal/NED. Since 2019, Carlos FRH and Hannah Erbe have been training with Johann Hinnemann at the Krüsterhof in Voerde and are on the verge of entering Grand Prix competition. In August 2020, the pair became European vice-champions with the German U25 team in Pilisjászfalu/HUN.
In 2022, Hannah Erbe’s sister Helen took over the reins of the dark bay and immediately became part of the German gold medal team at the same venue. A year later, after winning bronze in the Grand Prix, she won her first individual title in the freestyle. In 2024, the European Championships took place in St. Margarethen/AUT. Once again, Carlos FRH and Helen Erbe were among the best pairs, taking first place with the German team and second place in the freestyle.
Born in 2012, bred by breeder: Christa von Paepcke, Lehmkuhlen
In 2023, D’Accord FRH and Christoph Wahler became German vice-champions in eventing in Luhmühlen. Team world champion Christoph Wahler only took his place in D’Accord’s saddle in spring 2022. Until then, he had already celebrated three-star successes with Svenja Eckert. Eventing was in D’Accord’s blood from birth. His dam Anette was successful in cross-country with Hendrik von Paepcke, Olympic participant in Atlanta in 1996, among others, and has two other offspring, Doreé and C’est la Vie, who have started careers in eventing.
Born in 2012, bred by Dorothee Heitmüller, Nienburg
In 2014, he was a celebrated premium stallion at the Niedersachsenhalle. Today, he is the best young dressage horse in the world: double world champion D’Avie FRH.
Andreas Helgstrand discovered the radiant chestnut at the stallion licensing and brought him to Denmark. There he came into the capable hands of Severo Jurado Lopez, who turned him into a top-class horse: the pair won the World Championships for six-year-olds in Ermelo in 2018 and repeated this triumph in August of the following year. Since August 2020, Gut Wettlkam’s D’avie FRH is under the ownership of Lisa Müller, who has already celebrated her first Grand Prix placing.
Born in 2002, bred by breeder: Hengsthaltung Kothe, Steinfurt
Damsey FRH’s star rose at the 2005 licensing in Verden, which the expressive bay left as a premium stallion. After his stallion performance test, he moved into a stall at Jens Meyer’s stallion station in Dorum. His ownership, Doug and Louise Leatherdale, sent him into competition at the same time. With Ina von Helldorf, he competed in the 2007 Bundeschampionat for five-year-old dressage horses before Steffen Frahm took over the reins. He finished eighth in Warendorf the following year and trained Damsey FRH to become a Grand Prix horse. After great performances in the finals of the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal and the Louisdor Prize and his participation in the German Nations Cup team in Rotterdam/NED, the stallion joined Helen Langehanenberg’s stable in 2016, and a dream couple was found.
Damsey FRH and Helen Langehanenberg celebrated eleven victories at Grand Prix level in 2016, and in 2017 they became European team champions in Gothenburg/SWE. In the following years, they added to their impressive track record with victory in the World Cup Freestyle in Neumünster and seven further top placings in the World Cup, as well as two victories in the Nations Cup in Aachen. In 2021, Damsey FRH retired from competition with second place in the Grand Prix Freestyle in Doha, Qatar. He found his way back to Jens Meyer’s stallion station, where he is available to breeders.

The career of St.Pr.A. FRH Davinia la Douce from the Antje line began at the Verden Auctions in July 2011. At the age of four, she already impressed with her great talent, and Anabel Balkenhol secured this rough diamond with the support of the Supporter’s Club for Hanoverian Sport Horses. This was followed by careful training. In 2016, the pair celebrated their first Prix St. George victory, followed two years later by their first success in the Grand Prix. They had their best season to date in 2019. FRH Davinia la Douce came second in the German Dressage Derby in Hamburg and also won the silver ribbon in the Grand Prix Special at the competition of champions in Münster.
Since mid-2020, US rider Anna Buffini has been in the saddle of FRH Davinia la Douce and has already achieved numerous top placings at Grand Prix level. In 2022, the pair competed in the World Cup Final in Leipzig, and a year later they finished in a brilliant sixth place in the final in Omaha, USA.
Born in 2013, bred by Heinrich Gießelmann, Barver
Destacado FRH’s career began at the Verden Stallion Sales. As a premium stallion, he came to the Schafhof stud farm in Kronberg/Ts. Just six months later, he caused a sensation when he was celebrated as the Bundeschampion of Three-Year-Olds in Warendorf with Pascal Kandziora. After passing his sport tests, he was trained extensively by Matthias Alexander Rath. In 2018, the pair became vice world champions of five-year-old dressage horses in Ermelo/NED. Four years later, they stood at the top of the podium for the first time internationally in the Grand Prix and Special in Ornago, Italy. In 2023, the World Champion followed his first Nations Cup appearance. Further top results and fourth place in the World Cup Final in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, secured him a place in the German Olympic squad.

Libertad FRH and Allegra Schmitz-Morkramer have become one of the best young pairs in Germany. In July 2023, the two became European Junior Champions in the freestyle and team competitions in Kronberg, and six months later, the FRH of the Supporter’s Club for Hanoverian Sport Horses proudly adorns their name.
Libertad’s career began at the 2014 stallion sales, where Ingo Pape discovered the expressive black stallion from the Derma line. Libertad already impressed at his 50-day test in Schlieckau with a perfect 10 for his character, his canter, and his rideability. With a final score of 9.03, he was awarded the Weltmeyer Prize. Susan Pape trained him up to Prix St. George level before Libertad came to Allegra Schmitz-Morkramer in 2021. A dream team had been found. In the following months, ten consecutive victories followed, culminating in double gold at the 2022 Junior European Championships in Hartpury/GBR and the German championship title in Verden. After two more gold medals and a silver medal at the European Championships in Kronberg, the pair made a seamless transition to the young riders’ class. In 2024, their championship appearance in St. Margarethen, Austria, was also crowned with success, with Libertad FRH and Allegra Schmitz-Morkramer becoming European team champions.
Born: 2010, Breeder: Jörg Bätje, Kranenburg
Mighty Spring FRH has been one of Germany’s best eventing horses for many years. Ridden by Dr. Heike Jahncke, the bay mare competed in the Nations Cups in Avenches/SUI, Boekelo/NED, and Strzegom/POL. As a young horse, she competed in the Bundeschampionat and the World Championships for seven-year-old eventing horses.
Born in 2006, bred by Heinrich Wecke, Stadthagen
Showtime FRH made his Grand Prix debut with Dorothee Schneider in 2015 and became an Olympic team champion in 2016. Three years later, the pair became European vice-champions in the Grand Prix Special and freestyle in Rotterdam, Netherlands, after already winning team gold. In Tokyo, Japan, the next gold medal followed in 2021 with the German trio.
The dark bay’s career has been nothing short of classic. The Bundeschampionat in Warendorf was just as much a stop as the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden and the final of the Nürnberger Burgpokal in Frankfurt. In 2015, he was awarded the Otto Lörcke Prize as the best young Grand Prix horse in Germany. In the Olympic year, Showtime FRH also won his first World Cup freestyle in Salzburg, Austria. In 2023, Showtime FRH retired from competition.
The FRH concept has been further developed and will in future also recognize the best young horses from Hanover and the Rhineland. Since 2021, the most successful young Hanoverians and Rhinelanders have been awarded the name affix “FRH.”
The name affix is awarded to five-year-old and older winners of the Hanoverian Championships for dressage, show jumping, and eventing horses, the three medal winners of the respective Bundeschampionat, the finals of the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal and the Louisdor Prize, as well as the World Championships for young dressage, show jumping, and eventing horses, as decided by the board of the Supporter’s Club for Hanoverian Sport Horses.
